S Sekolah adalah tempat bagi peserta didik untuk mengembangkan ilmupengetahuan, mengasah keterampilan, budi pekerti dan melatih interaksi siswa.Dalam mengembangkan ilmu pengetahuan siswa dituntut untuk belajar danmenyelesaikan banyak tugas yang menyebabkan terjadinya academic burnout yangdapat mempengaruhi kualitas kehidupan siswa di sekolah. Selain itu, academicburnout dapat juga dipengaruhi oleh kurangnya beradaptasi dengan lingkungan dansosial media dapat membuat remaja cenderung menarik diri dan membandingkandirinya dengan orang lain sehingga dapat mempengaruhi self-esteem. Beberapapenelitian masih terdapat pro dan kontra mengenai hubungan academic burnoutdengan self-esteem. Maka dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui mengenaihubungan academic burnout dengan self-esteem.METODEPenelitian ini menggunakan studi observasional analitik dengan desain potonglintang yang mengikutsertakan 274 siswa SMAN 23 Jakarta di daerah Tomangkecamatan Grogol Petamburan Jakarta Barat. Pengambilan data menggunakanconsecutive random sampling dengan cara siswa yang memenuhi kriteria inklusidan eksklusi penelitian diberikan kuesioner identitas diri, kuesioner MaslachAcademic burnout Inventory-Student Survey (MBI-SS), dan kuesioner RosenbergSelf-esteem Scale (RSES). Analisis data menggunakan SPSS for Windows versi29.0 dengan uji statistik Fisher dan hasil bermakna adalah p <0,05.HASILAnalisis data univariat didapatkan bahwa presentase siswa perempuan 54,5%dibandingkan siswa laki-laki 45,6%. Sedangkan pada tingkat kelas didapatkan hasilhampir sama yaitu kelas X 33.2%, kelas XI 33,2%, dan kelas XII 33. Pada academicburnout berada dikategori rendah yaitu 47,8% dan self-esteem juga berada di rendahyaitu 58%. Hasil bivariat menggunakan uji Fisher dan didapatkan hasil nilai p =0,000, yang berarti terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara academic burnoutdengan self-esteem pada remaja di SMA Negeri 23 Jakarta. Hal ini dipengaruhi olehfaktor demografik lainnya seperti jenis kelamin, tingkat kelas, dan faktorantropometrik seperti indeks massa tubuh.KESIMPULANPada penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa jenis kelamin perempuan lebih banyak yangmengalami self-esteem dibandingkan laki-laki. Tingkat kelas didapatkan bahwakelas X, kelas XI, dan kelas XII memiliki presentase sama mengalami self-esteem.Sedangkan pada Indeks Massa Tubuh (IMT) didapatkan pada kategori normal,kategori obesity, dan kategori underweight terdapat self-esteem yang rendah. Halini disebabkan oleh faktor biologis berupa perubahan hormonal yangmempengaruhi bentuk tubuh dan berat badan, faktor psikologis berupa kurangnyapercaya diri dan sulit untuk mengekspresikan diri sendiri dengan kecenderunganmenarik diri dari lingkungan sekitarnya, serta faktor kondisi sosial-ekonomikeluarga.

S School is a place for students to develop knowledge, hone skills, character andpractice student interactions. In developing knowledge, students are required tolearn and finish many tasks which cause academic burnout that can affect thequality of students’ life at school. Beside of that, academic burnout can be alsoinfluenced by lack of adaptation to the environment and social media which makeadolescences tend to withdraw and compare themselves with other people, whichcan affect their self-esteem. Several studies still show pros and cons regarding therelationship between academic burnout and self-esteem. So, this research wasconducted to find out the relationship between academic burnout and self-esteem.METHODSThis research used an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional designinvolving 274 students of SMAN 23 Jakarta in the area Tomang, GrogolPetamburan sub-district, West Jakarta. Data were collected using consecutiverandom sampling which students who met the criteria of this research will be giventhe self-identity questionnaire, the Maslach Academic Burnout Inventory-StudentSurvey (MBI-SS) questionnaire, and the Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale (RSES)questionnaire. Data analysis used SPSS for Windows version 29.0 with Fisher\'sstatistical test and significant results were p <0.05.RESULTSUnivariate data analysis showed that the percentage of female students was 54.5%compared to 45.6% of male students. Meanwhile, at the class level, almost the sameresults were obtained, namely class X 33.2%, class XI 33.2%, and class Thebivariate results used Fisher\'s test and obtained a p value = 0.000, which meansthere is a significant relationship between academic burnout and self-esteem in adolescents at SMA Negeri 23 Jakarta. This is influenced by demographic factorssuch as gender, class level and anthropometric factors such as body mass index.CONCLUSIONIn this research, it was found that more women experienced self-esteem than men.At class level, it was found that class X, class XI, and class XII had the samepercentage of encounter self-esteem. Meanwhile, the Body Mass Index (BMI)which the normal category, obesity category, and underweight category, with lowself-esteem. This is caused by biological factors which the hormonal changes thataffect body shape and weight, psychological factors which lack of self-confidenceand hard to express oneself with a tendency to withdraw from their surroundingenvironment, as well as socio-economic conditions of the family.
