B Background: One indicator of facial aesthetic assessment can be seen through theposition of the lips against the E-line by Ricketts. The E-line is a line drawn fromthe tip of the nose (Pn) to the Pogonion (Pg). With the development of technology,there are methods that can be used during the measurement process through digitalphotos, namely photogrammetry. Photogrammetry is defined as an art and scienceof technology used to extract information through physical objects from the processof capturing, measuring and interpreting photographic images. Purpose: To see thedifference in the measurement results of the E-line according to Ricketts usingdigital vernier caliper and photogrammetry. Methods: 32 people were required assubjects who met the inclusion criteria to take measurements using digital verniercaliper and photogrammetry. Photogrammetry was performed by taking 20 photosusing an iPhone 14 Pro Max which will be processed into a three-dimensional (3D)face model with the Polycam application. Photogrammetry results were measuredusing the Blender application. Results: The average value of the upper lipdistance to the E-line using a digital vernier caliper is 1.80 mm, and the averagevalue of the lower lip distance to the E-line using a digital vernier caliper is 1.99mm. As for the average value of the upper lip distance to the E-line withphotogrammetric techniques is 1.53 mm, and the average value of the lower lipdistance to the E-line with photogrammetric techniques is 1.65 mm. The tindependent test results showed no significant difference between the twomeasurements. (p > 0,05). Conclusion: There is no significant difference betweenmeasurements using digital vernier caliper and photogrammetry.
