M Museums play an important role in preserving and reintroducing the performing arts of wayang as an intangible cultural heritage recognized by unesco. however, the current interior design does not fully support the educational and interactive functions of the museum, especially in attracting the interest of the younger generation. this design considers various important aspects, such as spatial layout, lighting, circulation, ergonomics, as well as the integration of technology and sustainability principles. the museum\\\'s interior design not only serves as an exhibition space but also creates a profound emotional and educational experience for visitors from diverse backgrounds. the design process is conducted through direct observation, interviews, and literature studies of local and international museum design references. the concept presented is themed “when legends come to life in the city”, using a visual narrative approach that brings the atmosphere of live wayang to an urban environment. the design combines elements of traditional culture with modern technology, such as augmented reality and interactive media, to create a dynamic, educational, and memorable space. additionally, the application of sustainable development goals (sdgs) principles is taken into account in the selection of eco-friendly materials and accessibility design. the design outcome is expected to make the museum an inclusive, sustainable public space that is relevant to the needs of contemporary society.
