A Analisis profil fasial dalam perawatan ortodontidapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan sarana fotografimaupun radiografik sefalometri. Dengan Sarana fotografi,Schwarz (1966) melakukan analisis profil fasial jaringanlunak dalam arah vertikal dan sagital wajah bagian bawah.Penelitian pendahuluan ini dilakukan untukmengetahui apakah norma standar untuk wajah menyenangkanyang diperoleh Schwarz (1966) pada masyarakat Jermansesuai dengan norma standar pada orang Indonesia. Sampelyang digunakan 30 orang mahasiswa Fakultas KedokteranGigi Universitas Trisakti angkatan 1990 yang terdiri dari24 perempuan dan 6 laki-laki.Hasil rata-rata pengukuran sagital wajah yangdiperoleh adalah sub nasion (sn), labrale superior (Is),labrale inferior (li) berada lebih anterior terhadapgaris Pn ; bidang KPF lebih sempit ; sudut T lebih besardari 10°. Pengukuran vertikal wajah menunjukkan bahwapanjang wajah sepertiga gnatik lebih dari 10% panjangsepertiga wajah lainnya. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwaprofil fasial jaringan lunak sampel lebih konveks danmenurut kriteria Schwarz (1966) tergolong tipe fasialAnteface dengan pogonion berputar ke belakang.
F Facial profile analysis in orthodontic treatment can be performed using photography or cephalometric radiography. Using photography, Schwarz (1966) analyzed the facial profile of soft tissues in the vertical and sagittal directions of the lower face.This preliminary study was conducted to determine whether the standard norms for a pleasing face obtained by Schwarz (1966) in German society corresponded to the standard norms for Indonesians. The sample used was 30 students from the Faculty of Dentistry, Trisakti University, graduating class of 1990, consisting of 24 women and 6 men.The average results of the sagittal facial measurements obtained were that the subnasion (sn), superior labrale (Is), and inferior labrale (li) were more anterior to the Pn line; the KPF plane was narrower; and the T angle was greater than 10°. Vertical facial measurements showed that the length of the gnathic third of the face was more than 10% of the length of the other third. Therefore, it can be concluded that the facial soft tissue profile of the sample is more convex and, according to Schwarz's (1966) criteria, is classified as an anteface facial type with a posteriorly rotated pogonion.
