P Perusahaan pertambangan yang bergerak dalam kegiatan penambangan pasti akan dihadapkan pada tantangan geoteknik. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut berbagai metode analisis stabilitas dan ketidakstabilan lereng mulai dikembangkan dengan tujuan menyediakan cara untuk menentukan secara tidak ambigu, apakah kemiringan lereng tertentu cenderung meluncur atau tetap akan stabil. Tujuan lainnya dari analisis kestabilan lereng ini adalah untuk menghasilkan sudut kemiringan yang memastikan pekerja di dalam pit terlindung dari potensi adanya kecelakaan kerja yang mungkin bisa terjadi.Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kesetimbangan batas atau Limit Equilibrium Method (LEM) \"Bishop yang disederhanakan\" dengan metode probabilitas \"Monte Carlo dan Latin-Hypercube. Kedua metode ini akan digunakan pada berbagai analisis kestabilan lereng secara 2D maupun 3D pada studi kasus tambang terbuka nikel dengan parameter penelitian mencakup tinggi muka air tanah dan analisis sensitivitas. Variabel-variabel yang akan mempengaruhi aman tidaknya suatu lereng adalah Tinggi Lereng, Sudut keseluruhan, dan Muka Air Tanah (MAT). Serta perlu dilakukannya tindakan preventif dengan atensi pada sistem drainage harus dijaga dengan baik. Hasil analisis sensitivitas yang dilakukan, menunjukkan kohesi dan sudut geser dalam merupakan variabel yang memiliki tingkat sensitivitas yang paling tinggi. Berdasarkan analisis kestabilan lereng secara 2D dan 3D pada kondisi jenuh didapatkan rentang mayoritas nilai FK ≤ 1.2 dan PK ≥ 15% . Sehingga menurut KepMen ESDM No. 1827 Tahun 2018 pada kondisi jenuh kestabilan lereng yang ada dikategorikan tidak aman. Saran untuk penelitian selanjutnya adalah analisis Kestabilan Lereng secara 2D dapat dilengkapi dengan asumsi MAT pada kondisi Kering, Seperempat Jenuh (2H), dan Tiga perempat Jenuh (8H) pada area Blok Bintaro.
