U Until now, the prevalence of psoriasis in Indonesia is still low, and the relationship between body mass index and the severity of psoriasis cases is still unknown. Psoriasis in productive age can cause problems such as decreased quality of life and work quality for patients. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between body mass index and the severity of psoriasis cases in productive age.METHODThe cross-sectional study was taken from 108 data on psoriasis patients at RS X in West Java. Data collection using medical record data of psoriasis patients whose demographic characteristics data (name, age, gender) were measured using questionnaires, body mass index measurements, and psoriasis severity using psoriasis area and severity index (PASI) questionnaires. Data analysis using the Chi-Square Test, the limit of statistical significance p<0.05.RESULTSome of the subjects of psoriasis patients aged 26-45 years, namely (56.5%) female (67.6%), had a body mass index included in the obese category, namely (51.9%), the severity of psoriasis (43.5%) severe psoriasis , more than moderate psoriasis (30.6%) and mild psoriasis (25.9%), there was no relationship between Body mass index with severity of psoriasis cases in productive age.CONCLUSIONNo significant association was found between body mass index and psoriasis case severity in productive age.
