P Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor apa yangmempengaruhi penyerapan tenaga kerja pada industri pakaian jadi dari kulit diKabupaten Garut, data yang digunakan adalah data triwulan dari tahun 2003sampai 2013 dan data ini berbentuk time series dan alat pengolahannyamenggunakan analisis regresi linier berganda.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan yang telah dilakukan makadapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa variabel-variabel bebas yang meliputi nilaiproduksi (X1), nilai investasi (X2), dan biaya bahan baku (X3) mempengaruhivariabel terikatnya, yaitu jumlah tenaga kerja (Y) sebesar 92,5808% dan masingmasingvariabel bebas berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap variabel tidakbebasnya.Saran dari penelitian ini adalah untuk variabel nilai produksi, produsen harusmeningkatkan efisiensi produksinya. Sedangkan untuk variabel nilai investasi,pemerintah harus menjaga kestabilan suku bunga pinjaman dan menentukankebijakan hukum persaingan yang lebih baik. Sedangkan untuk biaya bahan baku,pemerintah harus mengatur harga maksimal untuk bahan baku utama danmemberikan tempat khusus untuk industri penghasil bahan baku utama tersebut.
T This study aims to determine the factors that affect employment in the apparelindustry of leather in Garut, the data used is the data quarterly from 2003 to 2013and in the form of time series data and processing tools using multiple linearregression analysis.Based on the results of research and discussion that has been done, it can beconcluded that the independent variables that includes the value of production(X1), the investment value (X2), and the cost of raw materials (X3) affects thedependent variable, the number of workers (Y) by 92.5808% and eachindependent variable positive and significant effect on the variables are notindependent.Suggestions from this study is the value for the variable production,manufacturers must improve efficiency of production. As for the variable value ofthe investment, the government should maintain a stable interest rates anddetermine the competition law policy better. As for the cost of raw materials, thegovernment should regulate the maximum prices for the main raw material andprovide a special place for the industry producing the main raw material.
