P PT. PG Rajawali II unit Subang ids accompany engaged in the agro industry, the resulting product is sugar. PT. PG Rajawali II unit Subangtype of production process is continuous process. The research was conducted at the puteran station, because of the heigh value of cumulative downtime that causes inhibition of the production process and the lead to failure to achieve production targets. The high value of cumulative downtime contained in puteran station, is a cumulative of 17 (seventeen) machine, which is divided into 2 (two) types of machine, namely 10 (ten) machines low grade centrifugal (LGC) and 7 (seven) machines high grade centrifugal (HGC). Based on the result of pareto diagrams, which has the largest value of downtime is high grade centrifugal machines. The result of pareto diagrams high grade centrifugal machines which is determined based on the value of machine downtime is high grade centrifugal 7 (23,98%), high grade centrifugal 6 (20,58%), high grade centrifugal 4 (14,46%), high grade centrifugal 1 (7,92%), high grade centrifugal 5 (6,37%), high grade centrifugal 2 (3,27%) and high grade centrifugal 3 (3,19%). The calculation of the vlue of overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) conducted aiming to identify the effectiveness of the machine. Value of the effectiveness of the machine with the calculation of overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), which indicates that the high grade centrifugal 7 machine and high grade centrifugal 6 machine has an OEE value below 95%. The overall equipment effectiveness value for high grade centrifugal 6 machine in June 2011 and August 2011 each worth 94,94% and 94,03%, as well as high grade centrifugal 7 machine in July 2011 and August 2011 respectively worth 94,32% and 93,61%. Proposed improvement maintenance system of high grade centrifugal 7 machine and high grade centrifugal 6 machine approach with lean assessment and lean preparation. Lean assessment to evaluate the process of total productive maintenance (TPM) fo high grade centrifugal 7 and high grade centrifugal 6 machine. The result are lean assessment and preventive replacement time interval inspection and waste of motion on the uptake of tools and components, then lean on the stage of preparation to give suggestions for the engine maintenance schedule in 2012 milling season and minimize the waste of motion with the making of shadow boards based on the 5S method.
