Perancangan medical education and research center dengan pendekatan green architecture di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Indonesia Jakarta Pusat
M Medical Education and Research Center ini berfungsi sebagai tempat untuk pendidikan kedokteran dan penelitian kedokteran dimana pengguna bangunan adalah mahasiswa atau mahasiswi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Indonesia, dosen, dan researcher dari Indonesia maupun dari luar negri. Medical Education and Research Center ini berada pada Jalan Salemba Raya No.5, RW.5, Kenari, Kecamatan Senen, Kota Jakarta Pusat. Bangunan Medical Education and Research Center terletak dibelakang bangunan Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Indonesia yang di tahun 2010 ditetapkan menjadi bangunan cagar budaya oleh pemerintah daerah. Ruang – ruang yang akan ada di bangunan ini diantaranya ialah, Museum of Medical Journey in Indonesia, Auditorium, Ruang Seminar, Ruang Diskusi, Ruang Kelas, Laboratorium Molecular Biology, Animal Research Facilities, Human Genetics and Human Cancer Center, dan sebagainya. Bangunan didesain menjadi dua tower untuk membedakan kedua fungsi bangunan yaitu fungsi pendidikan dan fungsi penelitian. Metode analisis yang digunakan ialah dengan menggunakan teori HECTTEAS dari Hersberger yang kemudian dihubungkan dengan aspek perancangan dari Kathryn H. Anthony. Untuk menghasilkan rancangan Medical Education and Research Center dengan menjaga sustanibility maka digunakan tema Green Architecture dari prinsip mendesain Green Building menurut Brenda dan Robert Vale, 1981, Green Architecture Design for Sustainable Future.
M Medical Education and Research Center serves as a place for medical education and medical research where building users are students of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia, lecturers, and researchers from Indonesia and abroad. The Medical Education and Research Center is located at Jalan Salemba Raya No.5, RW.5, Kenari, Senen District, Central Jakarta City. The Medical Education and Research Center building is located behind the University of Indonesia's Faculty of Medicine building which in 2010 was designated a cultural heritage building by the local government. The spaces that will be in this building include the Museum of Medical Journey in Indonesia, Auditorium, Seminar Room, Discussion Room, Classroom, Molecular Biology Laboratory, Animal Research Facilities, Human Genetics and Human Cancer Center, and so on. The building is designed into two towers to distinguish the two building functions, namely the education function and the research function. The analytical method used is by using the HECTTEAS theory from Hersberger which is then linked to the design aspects of Kathryn H. Anthony. To produce the design of the Medical Education and Research Center by maintaining sustainability, the theme used was Green Architecture, whose aspects were taken from the principles of designing Green Buildings according to Brenda and Robert Vale, 1981, Green Architecture Design for Sustainable Future.
