Pelabuhan Tanjung Emas yang berada di Kota Semarang Jawa Tengah merupakan pelabuhan lnternasional yang dimana . dapat mernpengaruhi perekonomian wilayah Jawa Tengah umumnya kota semarang khususnya di Dalam PP No. 4711997 tentang RTRWN dan dalam konsep RTR Pulau Jawa-Bali telah ditetapkan bahwa pengembangan pelabuhan Tanjung Emas sebagai IHP (International Harbour Port) atau Pelabuhan lnternasional yang saat ini mempunyai wilayah perairan seluas 17.800 Ha dan wilayah Daratan seluas 636 Ha, dan mempunyai tiga jenis terminal, yaitu Terminal penumpang, Terminal multipurpose (bulk dan general cargo) dan Terminal Petikemas.Optimalisasi dan pengembangan pelabuhan bagi Jawa Tengah sampai dengan 20 tahun l
