W Waduk Ria Rio, Jakarta Timur merupakan sebuah area yang dapat digunakan para pengunjung untuk berekreasi, bersantai dan berolahraga. Berbicara suatu area pada setiap taman, sangat diperlukannya sebuah satu faktor yang dapat meningkatkan daya tarik terhadap taman tersebut kepada para pengunjung sehingga visual yang diberikan selain dapat dilihat juga bisa dirasakan oleh para pengunjung. Kualitas Elemen Visual Lanskap dalam hal ini memiliki peranan penting, karena setiap elemen visual yang ditonjolkan dapat menjadi sebuah daya tarik untuk area sekitarnya. Objek studi pada penelitian ini adalah Waduk Ria Rio, Jakarta Timur. Area ini memiliki beberapa potensi pada visualnya yang dapat mendorong pengembangan lanskapnya. Adapun permasalahan yang didapati setelah penelitian dilakukan adalah kurangnya pemanfaatan dan pengembangan potensi estetika elemen visual lanskap pada Waduk Ria Rio ini sehingga menurunnya daya tarik pada beberapa area. Penelitian ini akan mendapatkan sebuah hasil penelitian berupa penilaian terkait kualitas elemen visual lanskap dengan menggunakan metode VRAP (Visual Resources Assesment Procedure). Metode penelitian ini nantinya akan terbagi menjadi dua penilaian yaitu skala makro dengan variabel penelitiannya antara lain Air (Water), Muka Tanah (Landform), Vegetasi (Vegetation), Penggunaan Lahan (Land Use), Aktifitas Pengunjung (User Activity), Pertimbangan Khusus (Special Consideration). Lalu, untuk skala mikro memiliki variabel penelitiannya antara lain Observer Distance, Prinsip Desain, dan Landscape Description. Hasil dari penelitian pada skala makro terkait penilaian kualitas elemen visual pada zona Waduk Ria Rio mendapatkan nilai \"modifikasi\", untuk penilaian pada skala mikro dengan mengambil tiga view point yang ada pada zona Waduk Ria Rio diperoleh bahwa nilai paling tinggi yaitu adalah area yang mengarah ke waduk, dengan begitu waduk para area ini merupakan salah satu potensi yang dapat dikembangkan sehingga terciptanya peningkatan pada kualitas elemen visual lanskap yang ada pada Waduk Ria Rio, Jakarta Timur.

Speaking of an area in each park, it is very necessary to have a factor that can increase the attractiveness of the park to visitors so that the visuals provided besides being seen can also be felt by visitors. The quality of Landscape Visual Elements in this case has an important role, because each visual element that is highlighted can be an attraction for the surrounding area. The object of study in this research is the Ria Rio Reservoir, East Jakarta. This garden area has some potential in terms of visuals that can encourage the development of the landscape. The problem that was found after the research was carried out was the lack of utilization and development of the aesthetic potential of the visual elements of the landscape in the Ria Rio Reservoir Park so that the attractiveness of several areas decreased. This research will obtain a research result in the form of an assessment related to the quality of the visual elements of the landscape using the VRAP (Visual Resources Assessment Procedure) method. This research method will later be divided into two assessments, namely the macro scale with research variables including Water, Landform, Vegetation, Land Use, User Activity, Special Considerations. Then, for the micro scale, the research variables include Observer Distance, Design Principles, and Landscape Description. The results of research on a macro scale related to the assessment of the quality of visual elements in the Ria Rio Reservoir get the values of \"modification\", for the assessment on the micro scale by taking three view points in the Ria Rio Reservoir zone it is obtained that the highest value high, namely the area that leads to the reservoir, thus the reservoir for this area is one of the potentials that can be developed so as to create an increase in the quality of the visual elements of the landscape in the Ria Rio Reservoir, East Jakarta.
