Studi potensi batuan induk berdasarkan analisis geokimia hidrokarbon pada sumur fitrah-1 di Cekungan Jawa Timur Utara
S Secara geografis daerah penelitian terletak di Cekungan Jawa Timur Utara. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengetahui kuantitas, kualitas, kematangan dan lingkungan pengendapan serta menentukan potensi batuan induk dengan melakukan analisis geokimia hidrokarbon berdasarkan cuttings samples pada satu sumur menggunakan beberapa metode. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis karbon, rockeval pyrolysis (REP), vitrinite reflektansi, kerogen typing, ekstrasi solvent, kromatografi kolom (LC), kromatografi gas (GC) dan kromatografi gas-spektrometri massa (GCMS). Hasil studi menyatakan bahwa 3 dari 6 batuan induk yang dianalisis diantaranya Formasi Tawun, Kujung dan Ngimbang Clastics merupakan batuan induk potensial, serta batuan induk Formasi Ngimbang Klastik merupakan batuan induk berpotensi / effective (Waples, 1985).

Thestudy was conducted to determine the quantity, quality, maturity and depositional environment as well as define potential source rock by analyzing geochemical hydrocarbon based cuttings samples in one well using several methods. The method used is analysis of carbon, rock-eval pyrolysis (REP), vitrinite reflectance, kerogen typing, solvent extraction, column chromatography (LC), gas chromatography (GC)and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GCMS). The study declared that 3 of the 6 source rock Formations that are analyzed include Tawun, Kujung and Ngimbang Clastics constitute potential source rock, as well as source rock Formation NgimbangClastics constitutes effective source rock (Waples, 1985).
