A A dental implant is an alternative choice used to replace missing teeth other than convention al dentures. Progress of dental implant is growing very fast and the success rate of implant dental increased in this last decade. Many factors can affect seccess rate of dental implant, one of which is the methods its used for placement. The dental implant methods often used lately is the conventional flap surgical method and flapless surgical method. Both have advantages and disadvantages of each are often compared which one is better between them. Flapless surgery method has more advantages than the conventional flap surgery method. However, because the indications are very limited and requires a deeper experience of its use, method of flapless surgery is still rarely used in comparison to method of conventional flap surgery. Therefore the use of conventional falp surgical method remains the first choice by many dentists.
