Analisis bahaya arc flash pada sistem kelistrikan tegangan menengah 20 kv di PT Bekaert Indonesia
A A system of protection in the industry must be able to work in accordance with the objectives and the requirements and functions are determined against the type of disturbance that occurred. To improve the coordination of protection required protection settings by taking into account the arc flash (arc flash). Arc flash is a spark that arises due to short circuit current (short circuit). PT Bekaert Indonesia has not installed a warning label on the MV switchgear panel located on the 20 kV MV switchgear room panel. Therefore, PT Bekaert Indonesia, Karawang, needs to conduct an analytical study of arc flash on a 20 kV medium voltage electrical system as a precautionary measure. This study aims to determine the amount of arc flash energy in accordance with the IEEE 1584-2002 standard and classify the category of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for workers in accordance with NFPA 70E-2009 standards. This study will be applied to the 20 kV medium voltage power system at PT Bekaert Indonesia. The results show the energy in section A and section B, 39.47 cal/ð‘ð‘š2, energy at Bekaert 1, 35.14 cal/ð‘ð‘š2, energy at Bekaert 2, 28.01 cal/ð‘ð‘š2, and energy on Bekaert 3, 24.69 cal/ð‘ð‘š2
