I In-office bleaching adalah teknik pemutihan gigi yang paling sering dipilih olehdokter gigi dan pasien. Efek samping yang paling sering terjadi pada teknik inofficebleaching yaitu gigi sensitif. Gigi sensitif disebabkan oleh perubahanmorfologi email menjadi lebih kasar akibat rusaknya prisma email pada prosesdemineralisasi, sehingga terjadi porositas mikro pada email. Penelitian inibertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Casein Phospopeptide - AmorphousCalcium Phosphate (CPP-ACP) terhadap kekasaran email pasca in officebleaching. Penelitian eksperimental secara in vitro dengan metode pretest –postest randomized groups design, menggunakan sampel gigi premolar rahangatas yang telah dicabut. Sampel gigi premolar rahang atas diaplikasikan bahanbleaching berupa hidrogen peroksida 40% selama 20 menit untuk 1 kali aplikasi,dan dilakukan 2 kali aplikasi dengan total durasi 40 menit. Setelah prosesbleaching selesai, sampel diaplikasikan CPP-ACP 0,03g dengan durasi 5 menit,dilakukan selama 14 hari berturut-turut. Hasil uji statistik Repeated ANOVAmenunjukkan perbedaan kekasaran permukaan email yang bermakna (p<0,05).Berdasarkan penelitian ini, Casein Phospopeptide - Amorphous Calcium Phosphate (CPP-ACP) terbukti efektif membantu proses remineralisasi danmenurunkan tingkat kekasaran email pasca in-office bleaching.

Sensitive teeth is caused by morphological chanAAges becomesmore rough because of the enamel rod damage due to demineralization process, soit produces enamel microporosity. The purpose of this research is to determine theeffect of casein phosphopeptide - amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP-ACP) onenamel roughness after in-office bleaching. The in vitro experimental researchwith pretest - posttest randomized groups design, used maxillary premolar teeththat had been extracted. Maxillary premolar teeth were applied with bleachingmaterial contains 40% hydrogen peroxide for 20 minutes, repeated once, so thetotal duration was 40 minutes. After the bleaching process had finished, thesamples were applied with 0,03g CPP-ACP for 5 minutes each day, done until 14days. The Repeated ANOVA test showed the significant differences in enamelsurface roughness (p<0,05). Based on this study, casein phosphopeptide -amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP-ACP) proved to be effective inremineralization and reducing the level of enamel roughness after in-officebleaching.
