P PT. Krakatau Steel adalah sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri manufaktur baja. Penelitian dilakukan di pabrik Hot Strip Mill (HSM), produk yang digunakan sebagai objek penelitian adalah lembaran baja panas (Hot Rolled Coil) yang merupakan produk utama. Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah ditemukan breakdown time yang tinggi pada mesin Finishing Mill. Tujuan penelitian dilakukan untuk merancang penerapan lean sustainable maintenance sehingga dapat menurunkan breakdown time dengan memperbaiki kinerja perawatan pada mesin Finishing Mill. Pada penelitian ini digunakan sebuah tools yaitu lean maintenance untuk menerapkan konsep sustainabilitiy. Tahap awal dilakukan pengukuran sustainability awareness, dilanjutkan dengan menentukan faktor sustainability drivers, sustainability barriers, dan benefits of sustainability menggunakan kuesioner. Selanjutnya menentukan komponen kritis dari mesin finishing mill menggunakan diagram pareto, didapatkan dua komponen kritis yaitu work roll finishing mill dan balancing system. Berikutnya dilakukan perancangan Current Sustainable Maintenance Value Stream Mapping (Sus-MVSM), diperoleh hasil untuk maintenance cycle efficiency pada komponen work roll sebesar 77.07% dan komponen balancing system sebesar 61.46%. Selanjutnya dilakukan identifikasi penyebab waste menggunakan diagram ishikawa, dan ditemukan waste yang terjadi yaitu waste waiting time between maintenance activities or procedure, poorly performed maintenance activities, dan spare part and tools transportations. Dilakukan pemilihan indikator sustainability sesuai kondisi perusahaan yang dilanjutkan perhitungan SI sehingga diperoleh nilai sebesar 91.97%, nilai SI yang tinggi menunjukkan bahwa perusahaan masih belum menjadi perusahaan yang sustainable, sehingga perlu masih dilakukan perbaikan. Pada penelitian ini usulan perbaikan yang diberikan adalah penerapan metode 5S pada proses penyimpanan komponen mesin, mengadakan pelatihan khusus untuk perawatan mesin finishing mill dan pengenalan konsep sustainable maintenance, serta menggunakan penerapan metode Poka Yoke yaitu dengan mengusulkan pembuatan alarm tanda kerusakan mesin. Terjadi penurunan breakdown time sebesar 4.29% setelah dilakukan perbaikan. Dan diperoleh nilai SI setelah dilakukan perbaikan adalah sebesar 65.21% yang artinya terjadi penurunan nilai SI sebesar 26.27% dari keadaan aktual.

The study was conducted at the Hot Strip Mill (HSM) plant, the product used as the object of research was Hot Rolled Coil which is the main product. The problem faced is found a high breakdown time on the Finishing Mill machine. The purpose of this research is to design the implementation of lean sustainable maintenance so as to reduce breakdown time by improving maintenance performance on the Finishing Mill machine. In this research, a lean maintenance tool is used to apply the concept of sustainability. The initial stage is to measure sustainability awareness, followed by determining the factors of sustainability drivers, sustainability barriers, and the benefits of sustainability using a questionnaire. Next determine the critical components of the mill finishing machine using a Pareto diagram, obtained two critical components namely work roll finishing mill and balancing system. Next is the design of the Current Sustainable Maintenance Value Stream Mapping (Sus-MVSM), the results obtained for maintenance cycle efficiency in the work roll component are 77.07% and the balancing system component is 61.46%. Next, identify the causes of waste using the Ishikawa diagram, and it is found that the waste that occurs is waste waiting time between maintenance activities or procedures, poorly performed maintenance activities, and spare parts and tools transportations. Sustainability indicators were selected according to company conditions, followed by SI calculation so that a value of 91.97% was obtained, a high SI value indicates that the company is still not a sustainable company, so it needs to be improved. In this study the proposed improvements given are the application of the 5S method in the process of storing engine components, conducting special training for maintenance of finishing mill machines and the introduction of the concept of sustainable maintenance, and using the application of the Poka Yoke method by proposing the manufacture of engine damage alarms. Breakdown time decreased by 4.29% after repairs were made. And the SI value obtained after improvement is 65.21%, which means there is a decrease in the SI value of 26.27% from the actual situation.
