Abstrak
Abstract

P Penggunaan alat ortodonti cekat menyebabkan gigi sulit dibersihkan. Plak merupakan biofilm yang terdiri dari komunitas bakteri dan dapat melekat pada gigi, restorasi dan protesa. Komponen pada alat ortodonti cekat membuat plak sulit dijangkau ketika menggosok gigi. Pasta gigi digunakan untuk menjaga kebersihan mulut. Berbagai pasta gigi umumnya mengandung antibakteri yang berbeda-beda. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan pasta gigi mengandung enzim Amilogukosidase (AMG), Gluco-oxidase (GO), dan Laktoperoksidase (LO) dengan pasta gigi non-enzim AMG, GO, dan LPO terhadap indeks plak. Metode : Sampel terdiri dari dua kelompok, masing-masing berjumlah lima orang. Tiap kelompok diberikan pasta gigi yang berbeda selama 15 hari. Kemudian, pasta gigi ditukar penggunaanya selama 15 hari berikutnya. Data analisis menggunakan uji anova satu jalan. Hasil : Hasil penelitian menunjukan perbedaan bermakna terhadap pengaruh indeks plak dengan p=0,008 (P < 0,05). Kesimpulan : Terdapat perbedaan antara pasta gigi mengandung enzim AMG, GO, LPO dan pasta gigi non enzim AMG, GO, LPO. Pasta gigi mengandung enzim AMG, GO, dan LPO memiliki daya hambat lebih besar terhadap indeks plak dibandingkan pasta gigi non-enzim AMG, GO, dan LPO.

T Teeth were difficult to clean due to use of fixed orthodontic appliance. Plaque is biofilm consisting of bacterial comunities and can be attached on teeth, restoration, and prothesis. The component of fixed orthodontics appliance is difficult to reach when brushing teeth. Toothpaste is used to keep dental hygine. Various toothpaste generally contained different antimicrobial agent. The aim of the study is the effectivenes of toothpaste containing enzyme Amyloglucosidase (AMG), Glucosidase (GO), and Lactoperoxidase (LPO) with toothpaste non-enzim AMG, GO, and, LPO on the index plaque. Method : Sampel chosen from two groups, each consist of five people. Every groups given different toothpatse for fifteen days. Afterthat, toothpaste is exchanged for the next fifteen days. Dataâ€™s were analyzed using one way anova. Result : The result shows that there is significant difference of the index plaque with p=0,008 (P < 0,05). Conclusion : There is difference between toothpaste containing enzyme AMG, GO, LPO and non enzyme AMG, GO, LPO. Toothpaste with containing enzyme AMG, GO,and LPO has inhibitory effect towards amount of plaque greater then toothpaste with non-enzyme AMG, GO,and LPO.
