M Mengkonsumsi minuman ringan merupakan gaya hidup di zaman modern ini, halini terlihat dengan meningkatnya kebiasaan mengkonsumsi minuman ringandengan pH rendah (5,5). Minuman isotonik adalah salah satu minuman ringan (pH2,9) yang saat ini banyak dikonsumsi. Minuman tersebut mengandung asamdengan pH rendah sehingga mengakibatkan kekasaran permukaan email.Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kekasaran permukaan emailsebelum dan sesudah pemaparan minuman isotonik. Sampel gigi dibagi menjadi 2kelompok, kelompok 1 minuman isotonik dan kelompok 2 kontrol. Masingmasingkelompok direndam selama 1 jam dan dilakukan selama 2 hari berturutturut.Lalu pengukuran kekasaran permukaan email dilakukan sebelum dansesudah pemaparan dengan alat Anyview. Hasil analisa dengan uji Anova akibatpaparan minuman isotonik menunjukan adanya perbedaan bermakna (p = 0,012).Penelitian ini menunjukan terdapat perubahan kekasaran permukaan email akibatpaparan minuman isotonik.

C Consuming Soft drink nowadays becomes a lifestyle, this can be seen as the habitto consume soft drink with average pH 2,9 which is lower than critical pH 5,5.Isotonic drink is one of soft drinks (pH 2,9) which much to be consumedcurrently. That drink contains acid with low pH that can cause roughness of theenamel surface. This research had been done to know the differences theroughness of the enamel before and after the pouring of isotonic water. Teethsample divided into two groups, first group isotonic water and second group iscontrol. Each group were immersed in an hour and had been done in two days,continuously. Then the measurement of the coarseness of enamel surface wasdone before and after pouring with Anyview device. The analysis result by AnovaTest consequence of pouring the isotonic water show that there is meaningfuldifferences (p = 0,012). Conclusion of this research shows that there is changingof the roughseness enamel surface caused by pouring isotonic water.
