D Dental health is one part of public health which has to be concerned optimally. Knowledge is variable which influence to healthiness. Motivation is very complex and needs changes in attitude towards health promotion. This research is aimed to know the difference perception in knowledge and motivation for dental and oral health care among boys and girls of the school. The research is carried out via observation description by mean of survey. The samples ofresearch were taken according to level of students incidentially from 150 teenagers from several high schools in Kuala Selangor. This research has used computer programming SPSS (Statical Program for Social Science) version 12.0, Likert scale 0.05. Validity test and reliability test to motivation were applied on the first questionare given to 30 persons with 51 statements. Based on the validity test, 14 out of 51 statements failed, so the remained 37 valid statements with validity value between 0.250-0.697. From the reliability test, a value of alpha (a) = 0,889 was obtained,showing the questionare is reliable. Data analysis of Pearson'sdifference test was conducted on 150 subjects with 33 knowledge questions and 37 motivation shows the difference significant value for motivation between boys and girls is<0,05. There is no difference significant value for knowledge. As the conclusion,motivation factor hasa big difference value between boys and girls.
