L Latar Belakang: Penggunaan obat kumur mulai dianjurkan selama pandemi Covid-19. Obat kumur yang disarankan oleh American Dental Association (ADA) dan the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) selama pandemi Covid-19, yaitu Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), Chlorhexidine gluconate (CHX), Cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC), dan Povidone-iodine (PVP-I). Obat kumur tersebut juga disarankan pada pengguna gigi tiruan. Elemen berbahan resin merupakan bagian dari gigi tiruan sebagian lepasan. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui pengaruh obat kumur dalam pencegahan Covid-19 terhadap stabilitas warna elemen gigi tiruan berbahan resin. Metode: Penelitian eksperimental laboratorik dengan sampel pengujian berjumlah 44 elemen gigi tiruan berbahan resin dengan kode warna A2 berukuran B62 yang dibagi kedalam 4 kelompok pengujian. Dilakukan pengujian pH dan warna sebelum dan setelah perendaman didalam inkubator pada suhu 37oC selama 6 jam. Pengujian warna dilakukan dengan Vita Easyshade V dan didapatkan E, L, C, dan H dan juga menghasilkan value secara Vita Classical dan Vita 3D Master. Hasil: Uji statistik One Way Anova pada E yaitu p>0,05 sedangkan value Vita Classical dan Vita 3D Master menunjukkan adanya peningkatan value pada keempat kelompok obat kumur. pH obat kumur mengalami kenaikan pada kelompok obat kumur H2O2 dan CPC sedangkan pH obat kumur mengalami penurunan pada kelompok obat kumur CHX dan PVP-I. Kesimpulan: Keempat kelompok obat kumur menunjukkan terdapat perubahan warna yang tidak signifikan terhadap stabilitas warna elemen gigi tiruan berbahan resin.

B Background: Using a mouthwash is recommended during pandemic Covid-19. Some mouthwashes recommended by American Dental Association (ADA) and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), are Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), Chlorhexidine gluconate (CHX), Cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC), and Povidone-iodine (PVP-I). Mouthwash is also recommended by patients who use a partial denture. Resin-based artificial teeth are part of denture artificial teeth. Purpose: To know the effect of mouthwash in preventing Covid-19 on color stability resin-based artificial teeth. Methods: Experimental laboratory research use 44 denture artificial teeth with color code A2 size B62 which was divided into 4 test groups. The pH and color were tested before and after the immersion and incubated at 37oC for 6 hours. Color test using a Vita Easyshade V and the data were shown E, L, C, dan H with Vita Classical and Vita 3D Master value. Results: The data were analyzed with One Way Anova on E with the significance level p>0.05. Vita Classical dan Vita 3D Master were shown an increased value on 4 test groups of mouthwashes. pH mouthwash has an increased pH on H2O2 and CPC mouthwashes meanwhile a decreased pH on CHX and PVP-I mouthwashes. Conclusion: The 4 test groups of mouthwashes were shown there is no significance color change on color stability resin-based artificial teeth.
