F Frekuensi kematian akibat penyumbatan pembuluh darah otak dan miokardmenurut Global Burden of Disease untuk Indonesia, disebutkan bahwa penyebab kematian nomor satu adalah stroke sementara Ischemic Heart Disease (4%)menempati posisi keenam. Banyak peneliti melaporkan bahwa penyumbatan pembuluh darah otak dan jantung sering terjadi akibat hiperaktivitas fungsi trombosit. Peningkatan kadar low density lipoprotein (LDL) dalam darah secara terus-menerus memaksa timbulnya aktivasi efek ‘pro-aterogenik’ sehingga terjadilah hiperagregasi trombosit. Selain itu, LDL oxidized menginduksi agregasi trombosit melalui aktivasi phospolipase A2. Penelitian lain menyebutkan tidak ada perubahan pada agregasi trombosit walaupun telah diberikan rilapladib(selective lipoprotein-PLA2 inhibitor). Oleh karena perbedaan tersebut, maka penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kadar low density lipoprotein terhadap agregasi trombosit. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi observasional dengan desain potong silang. Sebanyak 80 data hasil pemeriksaan laboratorium yang terdiri dari pemeriksaan kadar LDL serum dan agregasi trombosit diambil dari laboratorium Prodia Kedoya. Analisis data dengan menggunakan SPSS for windows versi 17.0 dan tingkat kemaknaan yang digunakan besarnya 0,05. Analisis uji Chi-square menunjukkan bahwa orang dengan kadar LDL serumtinggi berisiko mengalami kejadian hiperagregasi trombosit sebesar 3,484 kalilebih besar dibandingkan pada orang dengan kadar LDL serum yang normal/rendah dengan nilai p 0,015 (<0,05) sehingga dapat disimpulkan terdapatpengaruh antara kadar LDL serum dengan terjadinya hiperagregasi trombosit. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara kadar low density lipoprotein terhadap agregasi trombosit dan subjek dengan kadar low density lipoprotein tinggi lebih berisiko untuk mengalami hiperagregasi trombosit.

Increased levels of low density lipoprotein (LDL) in the blood is constantly forcing the onset of activation effect 'pro-atherogenic' so platelet hyperaggregation may occours. In addition,oxidized LDL induces platelet aggregation through activation phospolipase A2. Other studies mentioned no change in platelet aggregation despite rilapladib(selective inhibitor of lipoprotein-PLA2) has been given. Because of the sedifferences, this study was conducted to determine the effect of low-density lipoprotein levels to platelet aggregation. A cross sectional observational study was conducted and a total of 80 data results of laboratory tests which consisted of examination of serum LDL levels and platelet aggregation were taken from laboratory Prodia Kedoya . Data analysis was performanced using SPSS for Windows version 17.0 and significance levels were set as 0.05. Chi- square analysis showed that people with high serum of low density lipoprotein levels have greater risk of occurrence of platelets hyperaggregation at 3,484 times greater than in those with normal/low levels of low density lipoprotein with a p-value of 0.015 ( < 0.05 ) so that it can be concluded there is influence between serum low density lipoprotein levels with the platelets hyperaggregation. This study shows that there is influence between the levels of low density lipoprotein on platelet aggregation and subjects with high low density lipoprotein levels have greater risk of platelet hyperaggregation.
