D Daerah penelitian berada pada daerah pesisir Desa Sawarna, Kecamatan Bayah, Kabupaten Lebak, Provinsi Banten. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui fasies dan sistem pengendapan pada daerah penelitian berdasarkan analisislintasan stratigrafi yang didukung analisis petrografi, sedimentologi, serta mikropaleontologi. Pada lapangan ini terendapkan batuan sedimen konglomerat,breksi, batupasir, batulempung pada lingkungan batimetri Neritik Luar hinggaBathyal Atas yang berumur Miosen Awal (N5 – N6) dan dalam mekanisme endapan turbidit; dengan dua sistem pengendapan kipas bawah laut yang utamayakni Innerfan Channel Complex dan Midfan. Lapangan penelitian ini memiliki10 fasies turbidit, yaitu: (1) Fasies perselingan batulempung batupasir (FT 1); (2)Fasies perselingan batupasir batulempung (FT 2); (3) Fasies perselingan batupasirsedang – halus (FT 3); (4) Fasies breksi polemik (FT 4); (5) Fasies batupasirsangat kasar – sedang (FT 5); (6) Fasies batupasir masif kerikilan (FT 6); (7)Fasies konglomerat lag-deposit (FT 7); (8) Fasies batupasir berlapis tipis (FT 8);(9) Fasies konglomerat inverse graded bedding (FT 9); dan (10) Fasies slumpbedding (FT 10) yang disebabkan oleh beberapa jenis aliran, dimana semakin keatas (muda) kecepatan aliran semakin meningkat yang mengindikasikan penumpukan endapan ke arah laut (progradasi).

T The study area is located in coastal area of Sawarna Village, Bayah District, Lebak Regency, Banten Province. This study aims to determine the depositional system and facies of the study area based on stratigraphic analysis,which is supported by petrography, sedimentology, and micropaleontologyanalysis. In the study area, sedimentary rocks such as conglomerates, breccia,sandstone, and claystone were deposited in outer neritic to upper bathyalbathymetry environtment during early Miocene (N5-N6) The sediments weredeposited under turbidite mechanism, within two main submarine fan depositional system, such as Innerfan Channel Complex and Midfan. The study area has 10 turbidite facies which are: (1) Interbedded of claystone-sandstone facies (FT 1);(2) interbedded of sandstone-claystone facies (FT 2); (3) Interbedded of mediumto fine sandstone facies (FT 3); (4) Polymic breccia facies (FT 4); (5) Interbeddedof very coarse to coarse sandstone facies (FT 5); (6) Pebbly massive sandstonefacies (FT 6); (7) Conglomerate lag-deposit facies (FT 7); (8) Thin-bedded sandstone facies (FT 8); (9) Inverse graded bedding conglomerate facies (FT 9);and (10) Slump bedding facies (FT 10) that affected by several sediment gravityflow, where from bottom to top the flow-rate increases and indicate progadation.
