C Chevron Indonesia Company in Attaka Field has a lot of sand problem case. Sand production in Attaka Field has been the most common issue that harm the company. Sand problem has many disadvantages such as: accumulation in surface equipment, accumulation in downhole equipment, erosion of donwhole and surface equipment, collapse of the formation and economic impact. This disadvantages has been bother Chevron Indonesia Company especially in Attaka Field. Based on this issue a software has been made called Sand Control Tools using Macro Excel which consist 4 sheets: Screening Tool to determine the best and appropriate type of completion (Open Hole Gravel Pack, Open Hole Stand Alone Screen, Frac Pack, Cased Hole Stand Alone Screen and Cased Hole Gravel Pack). And the second is Comparison Tool which has function to compare each type of completion from economic, reliability, longevity and execution. After that there is a Result Tool which helps the user to determine, analyze, and evaluate which type of completion is best and proper to use based on the first and second tool. And the last one is additional tool Design Tool functionally use to determine what kind of screen to use and the sizing of gravel sand and screen. Well X is proposed well which is located in Attaka Field and has 3 production interval (Interval A, Interval B and Interval C). In this final assignment, data from interval A will be inputted to determine which type of completion is best to use. Recommendation from Sand Control Tool is best to use Cased Hole Stand Alone Screen completion with 10 screen gauge with Slotted Liner based on Screening Tool, Comparison Tool and Design Tool.
