nTo be successful in this globally and rapidly changing environment, organizations must formulate strategic plans that are consistent with their investment in and use of manufacturing technology. This study propose that organizations that invest in a advanced manufacturing technology and develop mechanisms for manufacturing managers to participate in strategy formulation will have improved competitive capabilities and better performance than firms that do not. Using 14 manufacture’s sample, this study develops valid and reliable measures of advanced manufacturing technology and manufacturing manager’s participation in strategy formulation as well as competitive advantage of a firm. Rank Speraman’s results show that the relationships between a firm’s practices in these two areas and its competitive capabilities are found to be statistically significant and positive. Also, high levels of these competitive capabilities lead to high levels of performance as measured by costumer satisfaction and marketing performance. n

Job satisfaction ; Insurance company
The general objective of this research is to analyze the relation between Job Satisfaction and Organization Commitment and to analyze the relation comparison among reward, job characteristids and work-environment with organizational commitment in Dana Pensiun Lembaga Keuanganwhich organized by Insurance Company in Jakarta.nData collection is done through census instead of sample taking. The number of element in population only 90 organic employees. Description analysis is used to know employees satisfaction and their commitment to organization. A Rank Spearman Correlation Analysis was employed to determine wheter significant relationship existed between job satisfaction factors and organizational commitment. Data were obtained through use of questionnaires and personal interviews.nThe following findings were revealed (1) employees satisfy enough and has a moderate commitment to their organization, (2) there is moderate relationship between Job Satisfaction and Organization Commitment, (3) from the job satisfaction factors, that obtained from the research really shows that work-environment has positive relationship with organizational commitment.nThis research suggest that the insurance company which has pension program should not attach to the parent company and the company should recruited employees that really has a good understanding company’s a program itself. n

The main objective of this study is to examine the interrelationships among investment, debt and dividend decisions as a major decision in financial management. These decisions should be made integratively as the relationship between investment and dividend decisions is negative and bidirectional, and the relationship between investment and debt decisions is positive and bidirectional, and no relationship is found between dividend and debt decisions. Thus, the study results suggest that the interrelationship among the three decisions are not really integratively made yet.

This study examines a model of the relationship among source of competitive advantage and performance outcomes. Production and operation competency is considered as a source of advantage. This competency is defined as the sum of the performance on some production and operation and operation competitive items, weighted by importance and extent of responsibility. Relationship between this competency constructs with performance outcomes such as ROI and market share are analyzed.nThe questionnaire were sent to production and operation managers. The instrument is used from Vickery et.al, (1993), Ellitan (1998). Regression was used to analysis data. The result shows there are positive relationship between production and operation competency with ROI and market share.

Islamic Bank - Indonesia ; AFTA
The Islamic banking system in Indonesia has been started since 1991. The development of this type of banks is encouraging even now its share is 0,2%. There are 2 full Islamic banks 55 branches and 83 Rural Islamic Banks plus 2500 BMTs (micro Islamic financial institution). In a year ahead there will be an AFTA in which foreign banks may enter banking market in the country. What problems will be faced by Islamic banks in that period will be the main focus of this paper. The paper also recommends policies and tasks that may be set by Islamic bank, central bank as well as Muslim community.
